Sand Light is a 48″ x 48″ rectified porcelain with a light beige, fine-grained sandstone look in a matte finish. It is the warmest of our stone-look large formats, with gentle tonal variation and no high-contrast pattern.
A 600 sq ft bathroom-and-kitchen package takes 22 boxes with 10% overage for cuts. Install with a leveling-clip system and a 1/16″ (1.5 mm) grout joint using a large-format polymer-modified mortar (ANSI A118.4); back-butter each tile. The matte surface is suitable for interior floors, walls and covered outdoor areas.
Ideal for homes with warm paint colors, wood cabinets and earth-tone furniture, and for anyone replacing the beige ceramic common in Central Florida homes built in the 1990s and 2000s with something current. The matte surface is practical for kitchens, living areas, entries and bathrooms and is slip-resistant enough for covered lanais. In commercial use it suits restaurants, churches, assisted-living facilities and offices that want a warm, quiet floor. Hides sand and light soil well. Use a sand-colored grout to make the floor read as one surface.
