Marble Carrara 48×48 is the large-format version of our most popular marble look: a 48″ x 48″ rectified porcelain with balanced gray-and-white Carrara veining and a nano-polished, high-gloss finish.
A 600 sq ft bathroom-and-kitchen package takes 22 boxes with 10% overage for cuts. Install with a leveling-clip system and a 1/16″ (1.5 mm) grout joint using a large-format polymer-modified mortar (ANSI A118.4); back-butter each tile. Polished porcelain is slippery when wet, so keep it to interior floors and walls.
Use it on big open floors — great rooms, kitchens that flow into living areas, lobbies, event spaces and showrooms — where the 24″ x 48″ would create a grid of grout lines. Match it with Marble Carrara 24″ x 48″ on shower walls and in smaller rooms for a continuous look across the home. The scale suits modern and transitional interiors and reads especially well with flat-panel cabinets and large islands. Requires a flat, level substrate and two installers to handle the tiles safely; order 10% overage for cuts and layout.
